Hi! I’m Marisa “Friki” Trinidad, she/they. Born and raised Jersey Girl that has been living in NYC for a decade. I am a visual artist focused in nail art, sculpture, painting, and creative direction. My colorful and kitschy style is heavily influenced by childhood nostalgia, fashion, camp, horror, pop culture and a lighthearted self-reflection of trauma.
I have worked in the beauty industry for the past 10 years, doing makeup, hair, or nails for photo/video-shoots, working on TV & movie sets, helping at NYFW, as well as taking private clients. I’ve gotten to work with exciting brands and individuals such as Sandy Liang, Hypebae, Coach, Rayvin Huger, Ivy Mugler and more. I have even traveled to cities such as Miami, FL and Berlin, DE as a resident guest nail artist.
I am currently working to expand my portfolio with larger scale projects and explore new mediums as I work towards executing deeper expression. In other words, I’m officially trying to get freaky with it.
